
Kate Hudson has an acting talent. Most well-known is for her character Penny Lane from the Hollywood film Almost Famous. Her nomination for the Academy Award was her best-known role. As a child of a film family, Hudson seemed destined to be in the spotlight at an early age. Her mother Goldie Hawn was a film actress and her father Bill Hudson is comedian. From a young age, she loved performing and would take any opportunity to perform on stage. When she was a kid, her parents provided dance classes and she studied at the Santa Monica Playhouse. In 1996, she got the opportunity to play a character on the TV drama Party of Five. As she was admitted to New York University by Kate Hudson, her goal was to pursue a career in the show business and not get an education. After acting in a few small films her audition was for the role that would prove to be her breakthrough in the field. The role she was cast in was Penny Lane in the comedy drama film Almost Famous. Although it was a film that failed at the box office the film was greeted with positive critiques from critics, and it made a name for Kate as an actress in the American film industry.
