Amy Smart is a former American actor and model. Amy Smart, who was born and raised California USA began her modelling in Italy. Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film, was her first part. The struggle she had to get an appearance for Starship Troopers, a film with mainly minor roles was very intense. Amy struggled to make the shift to acting because actors were never considered an actor, so they typically were given smaller roles. Amy was never discouraged. Her first major role came in The 70s followed by Varsity Blues. Amy then moved into leading roles in 2005's romantic comedy Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. Amy got her first recognition for her efforts over the past decade. Amy worked on many of the greatest film productions, such as the Crank series starring Jason Statham as well as Shameless, where she portrayed a character who remained in the spotlight for a long time.
