Dolly Parton escaped the struggles of her life early on through her imaginative and creative imagination. Prior to learning how to read or write Dolly Parton was composing her own music. Once she had her first instrument at age 8, she started to play on radio stations in Knoxville, Tennessee. In the same year, she recorded her debut album on Gold Band Records an independent small label. While she was a local star while in High School, she knew her ambitions were much bigger. On the very day she was able to graduate from high school, in 1964. Dumb Blonde, Something Fishy and Dumb Blonde both charted on Monument Records in 1967. In the year 1967, Porter Wagoner was looking for a new girl singer for the show he had syndicated to television. Parton took the job in 1966, joined RCA Records in 1968, and the Grand Ole Opry was founded in the year 1969. Parton left the show however, in 1974 due to her albums on her own like Joshua Coat Of Many Colors and Jolene outsold their collaborations. The song by Parton, I Will Never Be Loved by You (for Wagoner), hit the top of the. number 1 position after the duo broke up. The first time it made it to number 1 was in 1974.
