Sheryl Underwood, an American comedian and television host best known as the host of The Talk, a popular talk show that airs on daytime TV. Sheryl Underwood, born in Arkansas was raised between Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl was raised in a difficult family. Sheryl spent the majority of her youth caring for her sister Frankie with polio. When she was growing up, Sheryl had many problems with her mother. Sheryl says that at one point her mother cut her dad because he got too close. Sheryl joined military after graduating from the college. Sheryl's interest lay with comedy. In 1989 she was the first female to make it to the finals of the Miller Lite Comedy Search contest. Her TV professional career started in 1992 when she was a guest participant on the HBO comedy program Def Comedy Jam. The show was hosted by her Oh Drama! in 2000. Seit 2011, she is a cohost of the talk show. Also, she appears in fictional roles on series such Bulworth, Nikki or Beauty Shop.
