Taylor

Taylor Swift has become a uncommon pop sensation: A superstar who crossed over completely from traditional music into pop culture, turning into the pop icon of the future that will endure forever, and sweeping over everywhere. Swift dropped country as if it was a second layer of herself, proving that she's perhaps the most intelligent pop singer/songwriter of her time. Someone who is able to harness the mood of times to make her music personal, and perform in the opposite. The skills she displayed could be seen in the first songs she released, most notably the neodue Tim McGraw. But on her second album Fearless which came out in 2008, Swift discovered the person she was and reach audiences across the globe. Fearless became a worldwide hit, not only in North America (where it was certified six times platinum for the Top Ten Hits Love Story and "You Belong with Me") as well as in Canada Australia and the U.K. and many other countries. Swift's Speak Now album released two years ago consolidated her previous success, and catapulted Swift into the spotlight. Swift's popularity grew throughout the three albums that followed - Red (2012), 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017). Swift was now firmly established within an industry she felt was hers to be. Even when she scaled back her style with the 2020's stripped-down siblings' folklore and Evermore she was still atop the pop world a position she maintained with re-recordings of her earlier catalog, as well as Midnights which was her top-charting synthesizer 2022 collection.
